Mortal Kombat vs. DC?
Dear God, what have Midway done? I'll tell you what they've done - the unspeakable crime of dragging the old MK korpse from its resting place when rightly it should have been sent to its kraptacular grave after MKIII. And yeah, I'm goddamn sick of Midway's use of 'k' in place of 'c' in a failed bid to be "kool". "Insert Koin"? Fuck yeah just gimme the chance and I'll "insert koin" so far up Midway's ass they'll be crapping quarters for a month!
But seriously, so many of the characters were spin offs of each other that if I had colour blindness I'd think the game only had the one useable character... But no no, against all common sense, Midway's decided to attempt to revive the old series by pitting them against DC characters such as Batman and Superman but get this - there will be NO FATALITIES. WHAT? No fatalities? Forget it pal, this game is dead before it hits the screen I say.

Street Figher II Turbo - HD Remix
Capcom has re-released onto home consoles the classic Street Fighter II Turbo, except with revamped HD graphics. In short, the graphics look nothing short of beautiful now, while the already brilliant gameplay that we're all familiar with remains the same.
Available for download from Xbox Live Marketplace and Wii Online Store today (Wednesday 26th November).

Chopstick Bra!!
Perverts of the world rejoice! Japanese fashion has given us yet another reason for perverts to check out the cleavage of the female gender (and the male gender too if you happen to unfortunately endowed in that area). You see, some crazy designers have come up with the ever imaginative idea of a chopstick inspired bra. No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you - the chopstick bra (or 'My Hashi Bra' as it's affectionately called) houses a portable pair of collapsible chopsticks which can be stored... in the middle of your cleavage?? Ok, so it sounds super painful, but hey, fashion's never been about comfort. A quick look at mini skirts and a 10 inch pair of heels will tell you that. Admittedly having a pair of chopsticks on you all the time could be convenient, but how the hell you'd get this out discreetly in a public restaurant I have no idea...
Though if the chopstick idea alone wasn't freaky enough, there's more! The bra comes heavily Japanese cuisine styled - the left cup is a lovely traditional Japanese black and red miso bowl, and the right cup is a rice bowl.
Now for the extreme minority for whom this has piqued their interest, don't feel bad - it's eco friendly as the reusable pair of chopsticks housed in the fashion bra is directed at reducing the usage of the millions of disposable chopsticks that get used and trashed each year.

Guitar Hero: World Tour
Guitar Hero - the latest installment of rhythm-action games that seem to be all the range these days. It started off innocently with DDR, then catapulted to other popular titles such as Drummania, SingStar and Guitar Hero. The basic formula worked a treat, with all the aforementioned titles spawning sequels and spin-offs faster than an asian couple before China mandated the one child policy.
So yeah, the rhythm-action game market was getting a bit boring and was well overdue for a change. Cue Guitar Hero: World Tour. Released just a week ago on November the 12th, World Tour combines SingStar, Drummania and Guitar Hero into the one game!!! Neversoft's latest offering comes packaged with a microphone, guitar and a somewhat realistic drum controller to make all your high school band fantasies come true. 4 players can now play simultaneously (vocals, guitar, bass and drums) to simulate a true band experience. Are you excited yet? =p
However, the game doesn't come at a low cost. Most of the younger gamer market will baulk at the high $329.95 price tag which retailers are charging for the whole glorious package. Guitar Hero definitely is very pricey by most people's standards - you could pick up the base model of the Xbox 360 for this price! But the game does come with one very cool perk - contrary to the previous drum games that have been released, the Expert difficulty of the drums in World Tour is supposedly so realistic that it virtually imitates perfectly the drum track to the master recordings of the original song!!! In other words - if you can play through the Expert difficulty of the drums in Guitar Hero: World Tour, you can just about play the drums for real! Pretty cool, eh?
Latest reports of the game indicate that Guitar Hero has finally ported to the arcade domain instead of being shackled down to home console owners. Masters of the game will finally be able to strut their stuff out in public and pit themselves head to head in the arcade arena! Rock on!

ZOMGWTF!?!?!?
Look outside. Has the sun turned green? Are animals everywhere going spastic? Have your brains spilled out onto the floor? Can you see an intelligent American? Because surely these are the sorts of things that would happen first before Deal Or No Deal becomes immortalised in an arcade machine.
But no, the sun hasn't turned green, your brains are hopefully still locked in your head, and Americans will always remain as stupid as ever. Unfortunately the reality is that Deal Or No Deal actually has been released as an arcade game - just when you thought you had escaped it forever. This little abomination was spotted in Chadstone shopping centre - just outside the cinemas. There are no words to describe this travesty... so I'm not even going to try.

Things I Learned From The Microwave
- Grapes can and will explode.
- Although deceptively small, the volume of grapes is 100 times as big when it's smeared all over your microwave walls.
- Microwave is not synonymous with clothes dryer. Any attempt to use it as such will result in your clothes being much, much smaller and blacker than they were when they went in. Ashtastic!
- Contrary to popular belief, plastic containers won't stay solid forever.
- Everything is combustible. Eventually =]
- Last night's heated up food will always taste like the same thing no matter what it is and how different the ingredients it contains are. It will always taste like ass. It's just a fact of life - deal with it.
- Microwaves are not TVs. If you think you're watching The Biggest Loser through the microwave, you're not. That's just your reflection.
- Lastly, soap does not belong in the microwave - but it's BLOODY AWESOME to watch!

iToilet - The Apple Product You've Been Waiting For
Some Apple fanboys obviously had too much time on their hands, but rather than waste their time away they decided to invest in an arduous journey to bring you the long-awaited iToilet! Okay, so maybe not so much "long-awaited" as "crazy", but it still manages to be mildly amusing at the least.
In actual fact, the iToilet is just a regular toilet spray painted over in silver colour and emblazoned with the Apple logo to make it more hip and "with it". But here's where it truly separates from toilets of the regular and uncool kind - it apparently even has internal computer parts in it too!

And in the Blu corner... we have a winner!
The war between next-gen DVD formats Blu-ray and HD has been going on for quite some time now, with the PS3 fully backing the Blu-ray format with a built in Blu-ray player and Microsoft backing the other horse with its own Xbox 360 HD-DVD player add-on.
For months the war was waged with third parties such as Universal Studios, Paramount and Warner Bros taking sides with the HD-DVD format, and Sony Pictures, Disney and Twentieth Century Fox throwing in their lot with Blu-ray. Even retailer giant JB Hi-Fi with chain stores Australia-wide took its chances with Blu-ray by solely stocking Blu-ray DVDs on their shelves and leaving HD-DVD out in the cold.
The final blow however comes as Warner Bros. neglects the HD-DVD format and switches allegiances to support Blu-ray. This latest news essentially seals the fate of HD-DVD leaving billions of dollars worth of now useless hardware and DVDs.
In line with the HD-DVD redundancy, this can only mean bad things for the Xbox 360 HD-DVD add-on. Indeed, Microsoft have announced on a blog that they are discontinuing the add-on following the news of HD-DVD death. Which leaves Sony sitting pretty and primed to reap in the dollars with their next-gen console, the PS3 being the cheapest Blu-ray player currently on the market.

Ten Things Video Games Taught Me About Life
Found this on a forum and it gave me a laugh, so I thought I'd share it with you:
- Eating fruit not only aids digestion and a healthy physique, but it also allows you to consume ghosts without chewing. (Pacman)
- Being a jedi and strong in the force means you never need to eat, shit, or have a shower. (Knights Of The Old Republic)
- If you're holding a crowbar, nobody will dare object to you being a deaf/mute. (Half-life)
- You can't jump while carrying ten large-scale weapons in your backpack. (Doom)
- You CAN jump while carrying ten large-scale weapons in your backpack. (Half-life)
- Dead human corpses are 'containers', and can be used to store guns and crystals! (Knights Of The Old Republic)
- You can recover from life-threatening wounds by consuming an entire ham. (Final Fight)
- It is normal and indeed, expected to find large rotating boxes hovering in mid-air which will inexplicably heal you. (any game ever, but particularly Metal Gear Solid)
- When fighting the forces of evil, it is gentlemanly to wait your turn to smash the other guy in the face. (Final Fantasy)
- Kicking really fast causes your feet to catch fire. (Street Fighter II)

Life is Viewtiful!
Look out iPhone - make way for the new LG beauty! Did I say "beauty"? I meant "Viewty". Believe it or not, that's the name of LG's new flagship phone. LG Viewty. I can't believe it. First you name one of your phone's the LG Chocolate when it wasn't even remotely a shade of brown (or remotely edible or chocolate tasting I might add - I know because I tried), and now this?! What the bloody hell are you thinking LG??! Arghh! So okay - what an incredibly lame ass name, but maybe you'll get over that when you hear the features.
Here's the scoop: incredibly sleek, sexy design, touchpad interface, mp3 player, radio, organiser and let's not forget the main feature - the stunning 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and video capability. The only thing that's missing is a 3.5mm headphone jack.
At 103 x 54mm x 14.8mm and weighing in at 112g, the LG Viewty's a little on the bulky side, but that's to be expected with the amount of features it's packing under the hood. LG's new phone comes in at a great time too - the iPhone has yet to be released in Australia which primes the Viewty with a good 6 months to snipe the competition before the iPhone gets released here. And speaking of the iPhone, there's some pretty cool mods out there for the Viewty that converts your interface to look just like the iPhone! Check it out! You may just be able to see the little green phone symbol in the lower left hand corner - the only indication that this is indeed NOT an iPhone!

Street FIghter IV To Be Released!
It's been a whopping 17 years since the debut of the smash arcade hit Street Fighter II in 1991- the game which arguably revolutionised the fighting game genre. Now in 2008, Street Fighter IV is hitting the streets in Tokyo this July. Unfortunately there's no word when it's coming to Australia, but it's probably a safe bet that we won't see it until the end of the year at least.
In the meantime, here as some absolutely stunning screen shots from the game itself!
The game boasts some slick graphics that sees Capcom depart away from the cartoony style that plagued the whole Alpha series, and return to the more realistic style ala Street Fighter II.
While a lot of the old, classic characters have been re-introduced, there's also a few new characters coming into the mix.
Cue Abel - a mean looking, blond haired hulk with no past (above), and another mysterious femme fatale known only as Crimson Viper (below).
Check out more screenies and updates on SFIV from Kotaku!
